About the Learning Enrichment and Assistance Program
The Learning Enrichment and Assistance Program (LEAP) is an academic support service created to facilitate personal development and academic success within our diverse student body. Through the Learning Enrichment and Assistance Program, students receive individual attention in a supportive environment which focuses on the unique needs of students. The Learning Enrichment and Assistance Program’s flagship service is course -specific peer tutoring, which is available to all undergraduate Gardner-Webb students at no additional cost. This free service is staffed with trained, faculty-recommended, student tutors.
Our knowledgeable, and helpful, peer tutors are available for course-specific, one hour, tutoring appointments, which are reserved via WebbConnect. Peer tutoring usually begins after the first full week of classes start in the fall and spring semesters (peer tutoring is not available during campus breaks or during summer sessions). All tutoring takes place in the Tucker Student Center, room 336.
How do I make a peer tutoring appointment?
- Log into WebbConnect
- Click on “Academic Support"
- Click “Peer Tutoring Appointment Scheduler”
- Choose a class from the drop-down menu
- Select a date for your tutoring session
- Select an available time and click "submit"
Once an appointment is made, the student will receive a confirmation email with details about his/her appointment. If a time is not available on an initial date chosen, students can click "return" to select another day.
