On behalf of the entire Gardner-Webb University community, we would like to congratulate you on your decision to attend GWU! You have made an incredible decision that will change your life forever. You are embarking on a journey that will offer you amazing opportunities for growth - academically, spiritually and socially. We are excited to have you as a Runnin' Bulldog!
Enrolling in a college or university can be a pretty intimidating experience, especially when there are so many things you need to learn. But don't worry, we understand. We are here to help you make that transition as smooth as possible.
The primary purpose of New Student Orientation is to provide a basic introduction to college life and offer resources for the challenges students will encounter. New Student Orientation will establish the foundations upon which students will build over the next four years.
What do you need to know before starting classes? Where are your classes? Where to you go for your Gardner-Webb ID Card? Where will you be living? What is Webb Cash? Do you know the answers to these questions? Do you have others? No worries! New Student Orientation is designed to answer all of your questions you may have before classes begin!
On Friday, August 16 (for all First Year Students) or Monday, August 19 (for all Transfer Students), we will be here to welcome you to campus and answer those questions, as well as all the "fun" ones, like, how do I get involved with clubs/organizations on campus? Where are the SGA meetings? How to I become a member of the Dawg Pound?
New Student Orientation is a required program. Because it is essential for a successful first year at Gardner-Webb, it is included in the cost of attending Gardner-Webb for full-time undergraduate students. All new students will see New Student Orientation of $100 on their student account.
