Welcome to the Department of Mathematical Sciences

Gardner-Webb’s Department of Mathematical Sciences is dedicated to producing graduates who are armed with excellent quantitative and analytical reasoning skills and are fully prepared to make positive contributions to their communities. Faculty members are lifelong learners with active curiosity who will use GWU’s “just-the-right-size” classes to provide you with one-on-one attention to help you achieve your best.

Undergraduate programs include mathematics, mathematics education and computer science. In addition to academic support, the department also offers plenty of additional opportunities for student involvement through the math club and the National Science and Mathematics Honors Society, Sigma Zeta. Financial support is also provided through unique endowments specifically for math or computer science majors.
