Licensure Information

The NCLEX-RN (National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses) is administered by state boards of nursing to ensure safe and effective nursing care for the public. Each State Board of Nursing regulates the practice of nursing in that state. In order for you to practice as a registered nurse, you must pass the licensure examination. The NC Board of Nursing uses the above test to ensure minimum competency for entry-level practice for graduates of approved programs of nursing education.

Kaplan Integrated Testing

The Hunt School of Nursing uses Kaplan integrated testing throughout the curriculum to prepare students for the NCLEX-RN.  Students take online proctored and non-proctored tests as a part of their nursing classes.  After graduation, students take a Kaplan NCLEX-RN review course that is offered on campus.
