Learning Assistance Program
Learning Assistance Program

The Learning Assistance Program is an academic support service on the campus of Gardner-Webb.  LAP courses are designed to help students attain proficiency in the fundamental academic skills: writing, reading, mathematics, and study skills. Students receive individual attention focused on their particular needs as well as ample opportunities to practice their skills in a supportive environment.

In addition to courses offered, LAP provides assistance in the form of peer tutoring. Peer tutors are available, upon request, for undergraduate courses.  LAP is excited to offer some online tutoring for GOAL students, beginning Fall Semester 2008.

The Learning Assistance Program features academic support services for all Gardner-Webb University. Please check out the various areas of our program and contact us if you have any questions.

Please note, peer tutors will not be assigned after Friday, November 20th due to the time it takes to locate and pair a tutor with a student requesting help.  We encourage you to talk with your professor and work in study groups to prepare for exams.
