Mrs. Dey joined Gardner-Webb University in the fall of 2007. Lynn is a graduate of Gallaudet University with a Masters in Interpreting and currently a graduate student at McDaniel College in Deaf Education in ASL Literacy. She is a Certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI); is a Sign Language Proficiency Interview coordinator, and is certified by the American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA), and holds a North Carolina Interpreters and Transliterator License. She has taught as an adjunct professor at Central Piedmont Community College and at the University of NC at Greensboro.
Mrs. Dey is actively involved with the North Carolina Deaf-Blind Association, American Association of the Deaf-Blind, National Association of the Deaf, NC Association of the Deaf, NC Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, NC American Sign Language Teacher's Association and the American Sign Language Teacher Association.
