Application forms will be distributed to all new BSN students residing in and employed in the qualifying counties by the GOAL Admissions staff, and to continuing students who remain eligible by their advisor, Dr. Janie Carlton, and/or by the director of the GWU-Statesville campus, Dr. John Karriker. Completed applications should be submitted to the Statesville campus according to the information on the application. If a student is continuously enrolled it will only be necessary to reapply for funding in each fall term. The application will also be posted online through the financial planning link.

A committee will review each application and determine if the student is eligible. Based on the number of eligible applicants, eligible applicants' qualifying GPA, and the available funds, the committee will then determine which students will receive scholarship funds and the amount he/she will receive.

Funding for the summer term is not guaranteed, but will depend upon availability of funds.

When decisions must be made among applicants, selection will be made on the basis of highest GPA.
