What is your favorite thing about Boiling Springs?
I love the hospitality and friendliness of the community. One of my favorite things to do here is go to the river to walk, swim, read, or have picnics.
What activities were you involved in while at GWU?
Theatre productions, Alpha Chi, RHA, student volunteerism, Relay For Life, and the study abroad program (I spent a spring semester in Europe)
Who has been a hero or role model for you and why?
My grandmother is a role model of mine. She was a strong willed woman who demonstrated real unconditional love.
My favorite portion of Scripture is…
Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
My hobbies/interests are…
Travel, especially to foreign countries, photography, hiking in the mountains, theatre, going to the beach, reading, trying new recipes, and going to the movies all the time!
What were your top three highlights of attending GWU?
First, the fun of college! College life really was the best experience. There is no other time in life where you have the opportunity to have this much fun. At Gardner-Webb I got to surround myself with amazing friends who made that possible. Another highlight was the semester I spent studying in Europe. I was a foreign exchange student in Sweden. It was eye opening to live in a culture so different from my own. I was also able to travel to Denmark, Germany, Poland, Italy, France, and Greece. A final highlight was experiencing so many new and unique things. I got to take a scuba diving course, learn American Sign Language, write screenplays, film monologues and movie scenes in Acting for the Camera, and toilet paper the entire campus to celebrate Homecoming.
