Entering Work Orders
You must first contact your Building Manager or RA with the maintenance need you are experiencing. If your maintenance need is an emergency and you cannot find your RA or Building Manager, please contact the Plant Operations office directly at (704) 406-4330.
A work order need is defined as a repair to the facility.
Example: My air conditioner is not working.
A work order should not be issued for any remodel or additions to the existing facility and will be considered a project.
Example: Please add two light fixtures in my office.
Any request of this nature should have an Improvement Request Form filled out with the approval of the Building manager and the Vice President or Provost for the area the request is in. Please note: The Maintenance Department will not open a project ticket without proper authorization by the Departmental VP or Associate Provost and account number for the work to be performed.
The Maintenance Department is using a Building Maintenance program for coverage of most facilities on campus. The buildings covered by this program can be found by utilizing the Building Managers contact list.
Any buildings not listed on the Building Maintenance sheet will be covered with the trade needed to repair the problem after the work needed is reported to the Building Manager and the work order is entered on the online work order system. (If you are a building manager, you may click here to be taken to Maintenance Connection).
If you have questions concerning building coverage contact David Wacaster by e-mail at email@example.com or call the Operations office at (704) 406-4330.
