The withdraw period begins after the allotted time student's are given to adjust their schedule through the drop/add process. Gardner-Webb University services two withdraw periods. The first is known as the "Withdraw" period. During this period, a student may withdraw from one course or all courses with a grade of "W." This grade will show on your academic transcript however itdoes not affect your GPA. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for the dates associated with your current semester/term.
The second withdraw period is known as "Withdraw Pass/Withdraw Fail." This begins after the "W" deadline. During this period, a student may withdraw from one course or all courses with a grade of "WP" or "WF." This grade will show on your academic transcript and it may affect your GPA. While a "WP" will not affect your GPA, a "WF" will count against your GPA and calculate the same as a "F." While the initial grade at the time of withdraw is a "WP," the professor of the course has the option to change the grade to a "WF." This request may be made by the professor through the end of the semester/ term. Please refer to the Academic Calendar for the dates associated with your current semester/term.
