Tomorrow the Gardner-Webb family is invited to participate in “Operation Hokie Hope.” If you choose to take part, you may wear orange, maroon or Virginia Tech apparel in honor of those killed in the tragic events on the Virginia Tech Campus this week. This is also a time to show support for Virginia Tech students, faculty, administrators, staff, alumni and friends. A member of the Gardner-Webb family suggested this as a visual way to offer and participate in a day of remembrance. As a public display of our support for Virginia Tech, Gardner-Webb University will also fly the Virginia Tech flag on the quad for an extended amount of time.
Orange and Maroon ribbons will also be available in Webb Hall (Scoot Dixon’s Office), The Office of Admissions (Dover Campus Center) and in the Athletic Offices (Lutz Yelton Convocation Center).
We would also like to remind you of the prayer service tomorrow at noon in the Dover Chapel. The service is open to the public as well.
We ask that you continue to pray for and remember Virginia Tech and all universities across the nation during this time of mourning.
