BOILING SPRINGS, NC Gardner-Webb University Theatre proudly presents All in the Timing, a production of five student-directed one-act comedies, April 24th -28th in the Millennium Playhouse. All five plays are hilarious, and this is the final Gardner-Webb University theatre performance of the year. Five performances will run each day. Doors open at 7:00, show starts at 7:30 pm.
Brad Archer, who is directing Words, Words, Words as well as acting in the play The Philadelphia, (directed by Stacie Worrell) says this production is perfect for opening the stage for new and developing talent as there are many new faces in big roles for this show.
Spring time is a great time for comedy believes Theatre Director Scott Lahaie. These critically acclaimed one-acts really are funny.David Ives won the John Gassner Playwriting Award for them. They combine wit, intellect, and not to mention satire making them just plain fun. This is much like the funny plays presented in our 24 HOURS event, just rehearsed for two weeks instead adds Lahaie.
As a senior, it is wonderful to see the future of Gardner-Webb Theatre blossom before my eyes just before graduation, adds Archer. Its great to just relax at the end of the semester and laugh.
