Gardner-Webb Hosts Crossroads Worldwide Summer Camps

“Campers Receive Biblical Teachings and Gain Adventures in Life”

BOILING SPRINGS,N.C. – Crossroads Worldwide is a non-profit ministry that provides a Christian foundation for youth and college leaders to build a community in Christ. The organization was founded by, Gardner-Webb’s 1995 graduate, Clayton King and is run by a full time staff and a board of directors.

King started preaching in 1988 at local prisons and correctional facilities. As a result, he gained knowledge about ministry, discernment and authenticity. King developed love for the “people society forgets about,” as well as those that come from different walks of life. For more than a decade, King and Crossroads have been working with Gardner-Webb throughout summer camps, and this year is not an exception.

Crossroads Worldwide exists to preach the gospel, make disciples, support youth and college leaders, and build community among believers.  Crossroads is an interdenominational ministry designed to meet and love people as they are with God's truth.

“The reason why we chose Gardner-Webb University is very obvious; it’s our home,” King said. “This is my home, I love the community, the campus. And it is very convenient to do these summer camps here at home. We are also very gracious, thankful and grateful to Gardner-Webb.”

Crossroads Worldwide ministry is located in Shelby, N.C. More than 30,000 students have attended Crossroads events, and Crossroads speakers have spoken to over 2 million people worldwide at rallies, conferences, churches, public school assemblies, Bible studies and crusades.
