Social Impact / GWU Program to Promote Innovation

As part of an ongoing series to promote social entrepreneurship and innovation on campus and in the community, Gardner-Webb University will host creative business leader Kara Weber for a special program on Feb. 27.

Weber is a founding partner of Los Angeles-based Brilliant Ventures, a company that invests time, money and other resources to advance the development of businesses. She will speak at 7 p.m. in the Tucker Student Center in a session of the GWU Impact Center’s “Social Entrepreneurship Emphasis” (SEE).

Each year the Impact Center—which promotes sustainability, service, responsibility and ethics—hosts SEE events to advocate for social entrepreneurship and innovation.

Weber’s visit is free and open to the public. GWU students may earn Dimensions course credit for attendance.
