Groups and Events
The Counseling Center would like to inform you of several new groups, events, and screenings that we have available this year. We encourage you to attend any and all events and groups.

Groups Offered to All Students
“Being the Man” – A group where we meet and discuss several of life’s issues from a man’s perspectives.
“Walk and Talk” - Our weekly walk where we aim to make positive connections with one another, talk about our lives, and establish a fun walking routine.
“Food and Mood” - A group to discuss issues related to food and how food can affect your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
“Relationship Rescue” - A group to focus on looking at issues with different relationships we all encounter each day. “In life you’ll realize there is a purpose for everyone you meet. Some will test you, some will use you, and some will teach you. But most importantly, some will bring out the best in you.”- Author Unknown
“Winning With Wellness” - A group to examine the wellness concept. We will be taking a look at the importance of being preventive in your wellness, and educating ourselves on how wellness can impact your collegiate experience.

“Journal Writing Workshop” - A time to set aside to put thoughts onto paper. “Journaling reduces stress which helps to improve sleep and strengthen relationships.”- Michael J. Cain
