The University Commons, also known as the on-campus apartments, are the newest buildings for student residency. There are a total of seven different apartments for students to live, Apartment A,B,C,D,E,F,and H. These buildings are located at the very back of the campus across Lake Hollifield near the “Clubhouse.” The University Commons are less than ten years old are pleasant to the eye. Each of the apartments has the same amount of rooms. There are three levels per building with four apartments per floor. There are a total of twelve apartments per University Common.
Each individual apartment holds four residents. These are not coed apartments, four males will be assigned to room and four females will be assigned to another room. The apartment set up in a suite style design. There are four separate rooms for a resident to have his/her own private sleeping quarter each. The bed room dimensions for the apartments are 11’2 X 11’7”. The windows inside of the individual rooms are 47” X 47”.
Each of the apartments also has a living room area which is 20’2” X 12’7”. Attached to the living room is a kitchen along with a laundry room. There are two bathrooms per apartment and the dimensions for them are 10’4” X 5’2”. The entire apartment is furnished. There is a three-person couch as well as a love seat located in the living room area. Each room for the students provides a full-size bed, dresser drawers, a working desk, and a spacious closet. The kitchen provides a refrigerator, microwave, oven, and a bar with four seats. The laundry room offers a washer and dryer free of charge for the students to wash clothing. The window dimensions for the living room windows are 4’11” X 2’11”.
