Academic Administrative Associate

The Godbold College of Business (GCB) invites applications for the position of Academic Administrative Associate. This position maintains the following type of work:  administrative assistant, enrollment officer and retention officer.  This position will report directly to the Dean of the Godbold College of Business and will work closely with department directors, faculty and students.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • College Office Responsibilities
    • Assists faculty, students and visitors to the GCB offices.
    • Attend college meetings and maintain records for meetings and other departmental needs.
    • Maintains reservations for classrooms and meeting spaces in Hamrick Hall with Meeting Room Manager (MRM).
    • Assists with Godbold College of Business newsletter.
    • Assists with Board of Advisors meetings.
    • Assists with Godbold College of Business alumni events.
    • Maintains departmental databases.
    • Supervises work-study students and graduate assistants.
    • Assists with coordinating receptions, camps, workshops, seminars, and conferences.
    • Assists faculty with textbook ordering.
    • Works closely with publishers and campus bookstore.
    • Maintain supplies for the GCB offices.
    • Works with Godbold leadership team to maintain Academic Catalog updates.
  • Enrollment/Retention – Graduate Business Programs Responsibilities
    • Reviews checklists for all graduate programs to ensure completed file for approximately 500 candidates each year.
    • Communicates with Directors/Dean for admissions decision.
    • Prepares decision letters for all graduate programs.
    • Assists accepted students through registration in accordance with all applicable federal and state regulations, school policies and procedures, and in compliance with all accrediting standards and requirements.
    • Advise students on course timeline, course rotation and structure of the program.
    • Maintains graduate student records. (Banner, files, etc.)
    • Identify and notify students when grades reflect suspensions, probation, dismissal, etc.
    • Work closely with Registrar and Business office regarding changes in student records.
    • Sends reminder information to register for courses in the program to assist with retention numbers.
    • Registers all graduate students for all courses throughout program.
    • Attends enrollment events when requested.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Dean.

Eligibility requirements for consideration include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Self-starter with attention to detail.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Commitment to the Christian faith.


The University desires to fill the position no later than October 18th, 2021.  Applicant screening will begin on September 30th, 2021 and continue until the position is filled.  Salary is commensurate with experience.
