Administrative Assistant

Noel Center for Disability Resources

Gardner-Webb University is seeking an Administrative Assistant in the Noel Center for Disability Resources. This non-exempt (hourly) position is responsible for coordinating test-taking accommodations, producing alternate format materials, and managing the Noel Center for Disability Resources office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greets students and visitors
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the Noel Center
  • Exhibit polite and professional communication via phone, zoom, email and mail
  • Maintain confidential and time sensitive materials
  • Edit documents
  • Filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning
  • Keep accurate team meeting notes
  • Orders supplies and equipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory of software, equipment, resource and educational materials
  • Maintain accurate record of invoices
  • Maintain accurate student records
  • Schedule meetings and maintains calendar
  • Material production in alternate format
  • Arrange for equipment repair
  • Submission of work orders
  • Assist in the preparation of departmental reports
  • Transcription of notes
  • Schedule Orientation and Mobility instruction as needed
  • Coordinate Testing Accommodations
  • Prepare reports on testing administration
  • Provides information by answering questions and requests
  • Proctor tests as needed
  • Completes projects and assigned

Qualification Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Detailed oriented
  • Three years’ experience in office management
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds
