Business Services Support Specialist

The Business Services Office is seeking an individual with a high degree of adaptability, organizational skills, customer service, and self-motivation.  This office supports the campus in various areas, including oversight of the University’s motor pool fleet, institutional insurance, and auxiliary services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the motor pool fleet including certification of drivers, scheduling, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate the Student Airport Shuttle Service.
  • Provide additional support to the Business Services and Accounting Offices, including general financial processing and administrative support.
  • Assisting with employee cellular telephone configuration and distribution.
  • Manage the University’s copier fleet.
  • Function as the backup switchboard operator.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • High level of competency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365, and the ability to learn new applications.
  • Prioritize time-sensitive tasks with little supervision and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Review, develop, and implement new efficiencies in workflows and business processes.
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly, including financial and technology.
  • Manage increasing levels of responsibility as directed by supervisor.
  • Proactively Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Proven experience in taking initiative and working in both in a team environment and independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
