Enrollment Development Officer for Digital Learning

Gardner-Webb is seeking an Enrollment Development Officer for Digital Learning to recruit prospective applicants for Online-Degree Completion Programs (DCP) bachelor’s degree programs and to serve as a generalist for other programs in Online-DCP. This position reports to the Director of Admissions for Digital Enrollment and works collaboratively with the Assistant Vice President of Digital Learning, undergraduate program coordinators, and other key leaders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Matriculate a required number of online-DCP new students from a specific geographic area each term.
  • Attend admissions functions held in the evenings and weekends or through virtual events.
  • Responsible for developing, managing and meeting action plans in order to obtain personal and departmental student population objectives.
  • Perform office support duties, which may include scanning documents, review of transcripts and accepting students to Gardner-Webb University.
  • Evaluate monthly activity against standards and personal inquiry goals.
  • Professionally assist prospective students through the admissions process in accordance with all applicable federal and state regulations, school policies and procedures, and in compliance with all accrediting standards and requirements.
  • Conduct telephone interviews and e-mail or text correspondence. Identify student prospects to determine their educational needs, concerns and interests.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel (travel season, 70% travel, remainder year 10% travel).
  • Ability to remain flexible and easily adapt to changes in work environment or schedule.
  • Manage applicant documents and assist applicants in completing their application file.
  • Register accepted students for classes (as applicable).
  • Develop and maintain individualized curriculum plans consistent with clients’ personal, professional, and academic goals.
  • Utilize critical thinking, professional expertise, and problem-solving skills to address and resolve client issues and concerns and to ensure positive client experience.
  • Document all client interactions and engage in reliable data entry and information management to insure data integrity for reporting, analysis, marketing, recruiting, and budget projections.
  • Guide and assist current and prospective applicants through the admissions process, including answering questions related to academic program requirements, transfer credits, transcript submission, online learning options, and other application-related tasks.

Education, Experience and Work Environment:

  • Associate’s degree required, from a regionally accredited college or university with one-to-two years of related experience and/or training. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Salary commensurate with education and experience.
  • K-12 education recruiting experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and in the use of or ability to quickly learn AdmitGold, Banner, and other software platforms as needed.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including confident, professional, and customer-friendly phone, e-mail, video-conferencing, and interpersonal skills; the ability to function in a team environment; a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Energetic, service-oriented, motivated, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to following up in a timely fashion.
