Professional Licensure

All Gardner-Webb University academic programs preparing students to sit for licensure or certification are designed to meet licensure requirements in the State of North Carolina. Gardner-Webb will endeavor to make a determination of whether its programs of study will meet the requirements of other states whenever an applicant is domiciled in a state other than North Carolina or when an applicant informs the University of his or her intent to seek licensure in another state.

The information below provides guidance on those states for which Gardner-Webb has current information on the extent to which our academic programs meet licensure or certification requirements. While every effort is made to keep this information current, students are strongly encouraged to make their own inquiries with the Dean of the Gardner-Webb University School of Education, or the appropriate agency for the state in question.
