A Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship will provide you with a strong grasp of the processes and outcomes of opening a business, encourage and equip you to incorporate ethics and faith into the business community, and offer you a broad range of skills to work in various business fields.

Studies in Entrepreneurship will help prepare you to make significant contributions for God and humanity in a rapidly changing global business environment where job creation and economic development are critical needs. Your degree will help you understand the steps required to start a business, strategies to manage new enterprise, ways to address the development challenges that startup companies face, and options for identifying and evaluating business opportunities. Your degree will also provide you with skills in statistics, finance, leadership, marketing, strategic planning and more.

 

In addition to careers involving startup businesses, graduates with an Entrepreneurship degree often work in career fields including:

  1. nonprofit work
  2. business consulting
  3. teaching
  4. sales
  5. finance
  6. management
  7. research and development

In addition to the University’s required general education and prerequisites, the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship through the GOAL - The Degree Completion Program requires 33 hours in the major, 15 of which must be completed with the University.

Applicants must have earned at least 24 hours of college credit; those with 48 or more transferable hours may be admitted without additional review. Applicants with fewer than 48 transferable hours will work with their assigned Success Coach in collaboration with the academic program leadership of the applicant’s chosen major program of study to produce a written curriculum plan establishing a clear path to graduation.

Gardner-Webb partners with community colleges in NC for our Pathways program, which offers the opportunity for community college students to transfer credits from their Associates in an Applied Science degree toward a corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered by GOAL-The Degree Completion Program.

Additionally, Gardner-Webb University is a participating institution in the North Carolina Community College Articulation Agreement for an Associates of Arts and Associates of Science degree, offering greater transfer opportunities for continuing your education. The University also participates in the North Carolina RN to BSN Uniform Articulation Agreement, allowing registered nurses who hold an Associate in Nursing degree from a NC Community College to complete a BSN in as little as 1 year following the NCCC RN-BSN 5 block degree program.
