Graduate Admissions

In the Master of Business Administration program, you will learn techniques for being innovative in solving problems and making decisions, with opportunities to study with other professionals who have similar interests and varying work experience. While developing your knowledge of key business functions such as accounting, economics and marketing, you will also gain reality-based experience through internships, service opportunities, course projects, course simulations and interactions with business leaders. Emphasis areas in accounting, banking and finance, economics, forensic accounting, healthcare management, human resource management, international business, marketing, management information systems, sport management, and tax accounting are available.

The MBA program includes online options, and you will work with your academic advisor to determine the best path for you.

In addition to the University’s required prerequisites, the Master of Business Administration includes 36 credit hours of graduate-level studies with 30 hours in the core and six hours of electives in an area of emphasis. Each course is three credit hours. The curriculum requires the completion of a capstone course in strategic management.

Admissions Requirements

  • A completed application with a $40 non-refundable processing fee
  • Résumé detailing professional experience
  • Minimum GPA as detailed below
  • Two confidential recommendation forms from a past or present supervisor, professor, or colleague
  • Official transcripts from every accredited institution attended
  • Satisfaction of any prerequisites stipulated by the Academic Catalog

College Credit and Testing

There is no testing requirement for applicants who meet one of the following criteria.

  • Hold a graduate degree from a regionally accredited university
  • Hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA or a minimum 3.0 GPA in last 64 credit hours of courses
  • Hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum 2.5 overall GPA or minimum 2.60 GPA in last 64 credit hours of courses, AND have completed at least three years of professional work experience within a relevant industry sector as determined by the Admissions Committee and verified by a professional résumé


Applicants with a GPA below the 2.5 minimum can still qualify for the program with a QA (Quantitative Acceptance) Formula score of 950 or better. To qualify for this option, applicants must meet the following requirements.

  1. Hold a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university with a minimum 2.25 overall GPA or minimum 2.5 GPA in last 64 credit hours of courses
  2. Obtain a minimum GMAT score of 450 (GRE is accepted using the GRE® Comparison Tool for Business Schools to convert the GRE score to GMAT equivalent)

The QA score is determined with the QA Formula: (GPA x 200)+GMAT Score >= 950

For example, a 2.25 overall GPA and a 500 GMAT would result in a total of 950, which is acceptable for full admission.
