Bulldog Bound Agreement

The Bulldog Bound program creates predictable pathways from CCC&Tl to GWU and is designed to provide North Carolinians affordable access to higher education. Bulldog Bound also provides advising support for students during their education at CCC&TI and prepares them for a successful transition to GWU.

THEREFORE, the parties to this MOU mutually agree as follows:

  • CCC&TI students who are admitted to the Bulldog Bound program must meet all GWU Admissions standards at the time of matriculation to GWU including but not limited to academic success and academic standing, including any criminal or disciplinary issues.
  • CCC&Tl students have up to three years from date of acceptance into the Bulldog Bound program to complete the Associate in Arts (AA}, Associate in Science (AS}, Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation (AATP), Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation (ASTP}, Associate in Fine Arts (AFA}, or Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree through an institutional or state-wide articulation agreement and matriculate through this co-admission program.
  • CCC&TI students must enroll at GWU within one academic year (within the next two regular terms – fall/spring semesters) of completion of the Associate’s degree.
  • Students admitted into the Bulldog Bound program and who are enrolled at CCC&Tl will receive:
    • Access to academic advising by designated Bulldog Bound liaisons/advisors at CCC&TI and GWU to ensure co-admitted students select courses that minimize their time to baccalaureate degree completion and optimize academic achievement.
    • Access to financial aid advising and planning to aid students in maximizing their aid and minimizing student debt.
  • CCC&Tl graduates with a 2.25 GPA or higher who earn an Associate in Arts (AA}, Associate in Science (AS), Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation (AATP), Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation (ASTP), Associate in Fine Arts (AFA}, or Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree through an institutional or state-wide articulation agreement will then matriculate to GWU and receive:
    • Admission into a GWU undergraduate degree program. (Note: students are not guaranteed admission into a particular major, as some high demand programs may have admission requirements beyond those for general admission to GWU).
    • Eligibility to apply for financial aid, subject to financial aid eligibility requirements.
    • Invitation to Bulldog Bound program events designed to aid students with their transition to GWU and promote timely and successful completion of their baccalaureate degree.
