Gardner-Webb University will travel to France in June 2024 to commemorate the 80^th anniversary of D-Day!

GWU’s Concert Choir has been invited to participate in the Commemoration as the featured choir. The concert experience is presented by Vox Anima London.

Trip Details:

Dates: June 9-18, 2024

Cost:

• $4,200 for Double-Occupancy accommodations and airfare
• $5600 for single-occupancy accommodations and airfare

*Flight will originate out of Charlotte Douglas International

Deposit: $500 due by April 30, 2023

Background checks are required.

Trip Itinerary:

Sapphire Tours will coordinate transportation, hotels, meals, and concert. Additionally, Sapphire tours will help with accessing other excursions to maximize your free time in Paris and Normandy.

• June 9: A day of travel begins with Departure from Charlotte Douglas International to Paris
• 3 Days in Paris that include excursions to museums, cathedrals, cafes, and a dinner cruise

• June 13: Travel to Caen in Normandy
• 3 days in Caen and Normandy region touring the Beaches of Normandy and American Cemetery plus additional excursions

• Gardner-Webb University’s Concert in Commemoration of D-Day at Abbey Aux Hommes
• June 18: Departure from Paris to return to Charlotte.
