The Gardner-Webb University AcaFelons are an a cappella style, vocal ensemble. The group performs repertoire in various genres of popular music—showcasing their talent by performing at a multitude of on-campus service-oriented or fundraising events, participating in regional and national a cappella competitions, as well as performing with other university a cappella groups in self-organized concerts. The group is dedicated to self-excellence through musical performance and strives to use their talent to serve the Cleveland County community. The AcaFelons value the principles of sacrifice and community service, and require its members to participate in the club’s organized service activities. Auditions for membership in the AcaFelons are open to the student body and are held at the beginning of each semester.
