Event Location: College of Health Sciences Event Time: Mar 20 - All day
The College of Health Science will be conducting an Interprofessional Pediatric Simulation (Pedi-Sim) Day on Monday, March 20, 2023. This is an annual spring event and the College needs help from the campus community in continuing this great learning experience for students. For Pediatric Simulation Day, the College is seeking faculty and staff members with a child 6 months to 14 years of age to visit the College of Health Sciences and allow Physician Assistant (PA) students and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students to conduct a mock physical exam on your child.
On March 20th, parents will arrive at the College of Health Sciences and allow a mock well-child physical exam to be conducted by a PA student who will be assisted by a BSN student in a private exam room. This exam will include an examination of the eyes, ears, nose, throat, heart and lung sounds, height, and weight. It will NOT include any examination of private areas. In addition, no medications will be administered and no procedures will be performed on your child. Parents will be asked to attend, participate, and supervise their children at all times. Children who are not well or running a fever should not participate.
Additional information will be sent regarding times and how to signup.
