Urgent Need for Blood

The Community Blood Drive is hosted by Gardner-Webb University in partnership with the American Red Cross.

Wednesday, April 14th between 11:00 AM and 4:00PM a Blood Drive will be held in Stewart Hall, Tucker Student Center.

In addition to having the opportunity to save a life, donors will:

  1. receive COVID-19 antibody testing
  2. receive automatic entry for a chance to win a $1,000 e-gift card.
  3. self-identified African American donors will be screened for the sickle cell trait for any blood donations on or after April 1, 2021. It is important to note that carrying the sickle cell trait does not mean that an individual has sickle cell disease.
  4. automatically be entered for your chance to win a VIP package for four, including premium tickets to the 2022 Indianapolis 500® Mile Race, Garage & Pit Credentials and passes to attend a meet and greet opportunity with driver(s), round-trip airfare, three-night hotel accommodations (May 27-30, 2022), plus a $500 gift card for expenses.
