The Office of Alumni Relations hosts Philanthropy Week April 4-7, 2022.
This week will be filled with opportunities to increase awareness of our generous philanthropists (a.k.a. our donors) who have made tremendous contributions to our University. We hope our students will engage with us throughout the week to learn more about philanthropy.
MONDAY: CELEBRATING OUR PHILANTHROPISTS Gift tags placed in front of buildings across campus recognize Philanthropists and the financial gifts they have made to GWU.
TUESDAY: PHILANTHROPY ON THE FLY | 3 P.M. Stop by Tucker Student Center to fill backpacks with food for underprivileged children in our community to enjoy over the weekend.
WEDNESDAY: LET’S THANK OUR DONORS! Visit our Thank-a-Donor stations and write or record messages of gratitude to donors. Outside the Caf at 11 a.m. & outside Tucker at 2 p.m.
THURSDAY: ANNUAL DAY OF GIVING Participate in our 2nd Philanthropy on the Fly of the week by making PB&J sandwiches for local homeless shelter residents and our first Philanthropy Week Scavenger Hunt!
THURSDAY: ANNUAL DAY OF GIVING Participate in a day-long Scavenger Hunt around campus to learn how philanthropy has impacted Gardner-Webb. Exciting prizes for all who join.
