Dr. Kaitlyn Holshouser

Assistant Professor in Education Curriculum and Instruction

Kaitlyn is assistant professor of education curriculum and instruction for the College of Education. She received her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in elementary education from Western Carolina University. She earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from UNC-Charlotte. Her research agenda focuses on global education, specifically “Education for Sustainable Development,” cross-curricular integration, and teacher development. Holshouser is a former fourth- and fifth-grade teacher. In her spare time, she enjoys working with her husband on their small farm, where she stays busy beekeeping, gardening, tending to her chickens, and playing with her dogs, Pippa and Moe.
