Home / People / Jacob (Jay) O’Donnell Jacob (Jay) O’Donnell Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach O’Donnell comes to the Runnin’ Bulldogs after spending the past two seasons in the same role at Robert Morris University near Pittsburgh. O’Donnell also gained experience while in Pennsylvania working as an assistant coach with the NPSL’s Pittsburgh Hotspurs Soccer Club. Robert Morris saw three men named All-Horizon League in 2022 and one earn All-Freshman honors in 2021. Prior to his move to the Keystone State, O’Donnell worked as a graduate assistant coach at Bethany College in West Virginia from 2019-2021. O’Donnell played collegiately at Bethany from 2015-2018, logging minutes in 75 matches (74 starting assignments). He scored 10 goals and dropped off 11 assists during that time for 31 career points. A native of Cardiff, Wales, O’Donnell earned an undergraduate degree in recreation, athletic administration and coaching education in 2019. He earned a master’s degree in teaching and leadership in 2021 from Bethany.
