Home / People / Randy Reed Randy Reed Director of Planned Giving Randy Reed joined the Advancement team as the Director of Planned Giving in 2021. In his role, Randy helps GWU alumni and friends create a lasting legacy through intended bequests and/or life income gifts to provide for the future of the University. He is a 1982 graduate of Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia where he was a member of the football team. After a career in the corporate sector with Circuit City Stores, Inc. and ADT Services, Inc., Randy returned to his alma mater in 2005. There he served as a Major Gifts Officer and later as Director of Planned Giving. Away from his work at Hampden-Sydney, Randy was active with the Farmville, VA Rotary Club, his church and served as an adult leader with the local Boy Scouts of America Troop. Randy and his wife May have adult twins, a daughter, Libbie, who lives in Washington D.C. and a son, Whitaker, who lives in Charleston, SC. In his spare time, Randy enjoys hiking, golf and traveling.
