He leads a team of professionals in Gardner-Webb’s Creative Services, Marketing, University Relations and Web Communications offices. With more than 25 years in the marketing and communications field, Richard is an award-winning creative strategist and a leader with executive experience and perspective in both public and private enterprise. Prior to joining Gardner-Webb in 2016, he served as Senior Director of Marketing for eight years at UNC Charlotte in Charlotte, N.C. He received his Bachelor of Science in Communications from Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C.
