Sara McCall

Assistant Vice President, Advancement Services and Operations

Sara’s family connection to Gardner-Webb runs deep. In 1912, Sara’s maternal grandmother attended the boarding school that eventually became Gardner-Webb. Many of her aunts and uncles attended in the early days of the college. After working as an accountant in Gastonia, Sara began working in the School of Psychology and Counseling at GWU in 2007. She joined the Advancement Department in 2011 where she has served in advancement services, research and annual giving. Sara was instrumental in creating GWU’s day of giving known as “Double Dawg Day.” In her current role, she strengthens the ties between fundraising and data management and ensures accurate reporting of Advancement efforts. She and her husband live in Grover, North Carolina.
