Open Dialogue with film Composer Marco Beltrami

For over two and half decades award-winning composer Marco Beltrami has offered his evolving approach to scoring for feature film, documentary and episodic television. His projects and styles vary; from westerns like “3:10 to Yuma” to docs like “Free Solo” to the superhero genre like “Logan” to war epics like “The Hurt Locker” – Beltrami breathes musical life into each project.

Today on Open Dialogue Beltrami shares with Noel T. Manning II his approach to working on “A Quiet Place” and its sequel; he also answers questions relating to screenplays, what he learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, and why sound designers and composers are no longer at odds with one another.
