The Runnin' Bulldogs kick off the 2020 season with a seven-game home stand, hosting Appalachian State on Opening Day – February 14 at 4 p.m. – in game one of a three-game series. Also visiting Boiling Springs during the opening stretch of the season are Georgia State (February 18) and Delaware (February 21-23).

The Gardner-Webb baseball program signed 17 players during the early signing period for the 2020-21 academic year.

“I couldn't be more excited about the new pieces that have been added to the Gardner-Webb baseball family,” noted GWU Head Coach Jim Chester. “We addressed many different needs in in our program that have a chance to make an immediate impact. All of these young men are of high character, academic excellence, and blue collar on the diamond.”

The signing class has garnered attention nationally, as it is ranked 70th in the country by Perfect Game. “We are humbled that an entity as prestigious as Perfect Game would put our class in the top third of all of NCAA Division I baseball programs,” Chester said.
