Metrolina Career Fair Presents Various Job and Graduate School Opportunities

Unlock Your Future

Gardner-Webb students can apply for jobs or graduate school programs at the Metrolina Career Fair on Nov. 1. Representatives from more than 65 organizations are scheduled to attend the event from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, N.C.

As a member of the Career Consortium of Metrolina Colleges, Gardner-Webb helps sponsor the networking day each year. “Partnering with 10 other colleges and universities through the Consortium multiplies our ability to advertise GWU student talent to companies and organizations from all over the country,” assessed Micah Martin, director of the GWU Center for Personal & Professional Development. “Whether its seniors graduating in December or May, or juniors thinking about graduate school, events like these allow our students to practice networking skills, explore industry opportunities and apply for jobs in a face-to-face environment that’s becoming less common in today’s tech enabled world.”

Jobs are available in a variety of fields, including law enforcement, manufacturing, architecture, health care, consumer lending, financial services, computer engineering, culinary, human services, management, accounting and others. More than a dozen graduate school programs will also provide information. Transportation will be arranged for students who contact the GWU Center for Personal & Professional Development.
