March 2019

Hello Parents and Families:

I hope this newsletter finds you and your family doing well. We made it to March, which means the academic semester is halfway over. The campus has been busy this semester from athletic events to academic competitions there has been plenty of opportunities for students to engage.

As students cross over the halfway point, I wanted to highlight several things that might be helpful for parents and families to know. To begin, spring break starts at the conclusion of classes on Friday, March 8, 2019 through Sunday, March 17, 2019. Gardner-Webb has several University sponsored spring break trips which include the Disney Leadership Experience; mission trips to York, England and Guatemala; and additional international trips. Regardless of a student’s plan for spring break, most students are excited for the week off from classes and the opportunity to rest.

In addition, academic registration for summer school and fall 2019 begins on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. It would be helpful for you to encourage your student to contact their advisor, review their academic plan, and determine their specific registration day. If your student is still undecided, it might be an appropriate time to declare a major.

I am looking forward to seeing students finish this semester well! If I can be of any assistance to your student or family please contact me.

Go Bulldogs!

Thank you,
