Greetings GWU Parents and Families:

I hope this newsletter finds you safe, well, and in good spirits. I realize the last two months navigating the global pandemic has provided individual obstacles for everyone.

Every year, May is a time of celebration for us on campus as another academic year comes to a conclusion. For those on campus there is a variety of events or activities from Senior Pinning, to the Webbys, to spring formal, pancake bingo, and concluding with graduation for our seniors.  It has been disappointing for all of us not to be gathered and celebrating together this year. Though I am encouraged by how students, faculty, and staff have been creative in ways to connect and celebrate. For example music students have provided individual and class recitals via Facebook Live or Zoom expanding the audience.

As we head into the summer please continue to check the University’s website for the latest COVID-19 updates. We hope to hold an August 1, 2020 graduation.

If I can be of any assistance over the summer please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Thank you,
