Dr. Davis wrote the chapter, “A Practical Guide for edTPA Implementation: Lessons from the Field,” for L. Barron (Ed.), A practical guide for edTPA implementation: Lessons from the field (pp. 223-237) Charlotte, NC: Information Age Publishing, Inc. The edTPA is the required teacher candidate assessment to obtain licensure in North Carolina, and this is the first year it will be “consequential” in the state. The chapter addresses practical strategies for implementing the edTPA in the K-12 fields (art, dance, music, physical education, theater, etc.).
