Home / People / Megan Peek, M.A., LCMHC, NCC Megan Peek, M.A., LCMHC, NCC University Counselor After receiving her Master of Arts in mental health counseling from Gardner-Webb in 2019, Megan was a clinical mental health counselor in private practice settings, where she worked with individuals of all ages dealing with a variety of issues (anxiety, depression, trauma, life changes, etc.). Before beginning her career, she was a graduate assistant at GWU while pursuing her master’s. During her time in graduate school, she was an intern at the GWU Counseling Center for two semesters. She received her Bachelor of Science in communications, public relations with a minor in sociology from Appalachian State University in 2016. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, drinking a good cup of coffee (preferably, iced), going on outdoor adventures, traveling, and watching movies. She is a group fitness instructor at the YMCA in Boiling Springs where she teaches REFIT. She is also a volunteer at her church in the hospitality area, care and counseling ministry, and in the college ministry.
