Dr. Hamrick delivered a podium presentation on April 8, 2022 in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) 48th Annual Conference.  The presentation titled “The Lived Experience of Holistic Self-Care:  Integration of Human Flourishing into NP Education” was the result of collaborative research between Dr. Hamrick and Retired Professor of Nursing, Dr. Gayle Casterline, PhD, RN, AHN-BC. 

Previous Recognition

September 2020

Dr. Hamrick’s presentation titled “Complicated Grief: Case Study Analyses of Surviving Surrogate End-of-Life Decision Makers’ Long-term Mental Health” has been accepted for a podium presentation at the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) 34th Annual Conference scheduled for Sept. 2020 in Orlando, FL.  This presentation is a culmination of mixed-methods collaborative research between Dr. Hamrick and colleagues at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Western Carolina University.

August 2018

Dr. Hamrick has been selected for The Great 100 Nurses of North Carolina for 2018. The Great 100 is a professional award to recognize deserving individuals who have demonstrated excellence in nursing through compassionate care, dedication to their chosen fields, leadership, and community service. This recognition reflects the commitment that the recipient places on nursing and what nursing excellence means to the community and the region.

March 2018

On March 22, 2018, Dr. Anna S. Hamrick was the Keynote Speaker for a National Webinar, hosted by ShadowHealth, entitled “Community of Practice” describing the use of Virtual Patients in the Digital Clinical Experience for Pre-Licensure Registered Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Students.
