Honors Student Association The Honors Student Association is the club connected to the Honors Program. It has an executive council that, along with the faculty advisor, coordinates the club’s service projects, fundraisers, and retreats. Once a month, the HSA sponsors a TSD night which stands for “Try Something Different.” The students try different types of food from Vietnamese to Ethiopian. In December, the students come together to bake cookies for the homeless as their service project. There are two retreats each year. The fall retreat is a weekend service trip called Big Sweep: a service learning outing to enhance the river environment. The spring retreat is longer and the location changes yearly. Past locations include Washington D.C. and the Outer Banks.
