Commencement Update: Ceremony Moved Indoors

Weather Schedule Update

Due to the increased risk of severe weather, Gardner-Webb University has made the decision to move Commencement indoors to the Lutz-Yelton Convocation Center (LYCC). The safety and comfort of our graduates, guests, and staff remain our top priority.

Important Reminders for Graduates and Guests:

  • Tickets Are Required: Each graduate is allotted four general admission tickets for guests. These tickets are required for entry into the LYCC.
  • Ticket Pickup: If you have not yet picked up your tickets, they will be available at the LYCC main entrance ticket booth prior to the ceremony. A photo ID is required.
  • Graduate Arrival: Graduates should report to Bost Gymnasium in the Physical Development Complex by 5:30 PM.
  • Overflow Viewing: Guests without tickets may view a livestream of the ceremony in Stewart Hall, located inside Tucker Student Center.
  • Additional Seating: Once all ticketed guests are seated in the LYCC, we may allow additional guests to enter if space permits.

Please continue to monitor the University’s website and social media channels for any further updates. We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with you!
