Fall Break Campus Lockdown Drill

On Monday, Oct. 14, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, Gardner-Webb University will conduct a campus-wide lockdown drill at the Boiling Springs Campus.

Important Details:

  • Time: 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM
  • Location: Boiling Springs Campus, Gardner-Webb University
  • Building Access: All campus buildings will be locked. Campus ID cards will not function during this time. Only University Police and designated Crisis Response Team members will have access.

Please plan accordingly. Campus ID access cards will not be active during this time. If you will need access to a building during the drill, you should plan to be there before the drill starts.  If you leave a building during the drill, you will not be able to get back inside until the drill is over.

This is a scheduled test, and in the event of an actual emergency, you would be notified through official University communication channels with instructions. This test is part of a wider review of the University’s emergency procedures.

For any questions, please contact GWU Police Chief Ron Newcomb.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation.
