BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—Officials from Gardner-Webb University and Florence-Darlington Technical College (FDTC) in Florence, S.C., signed transfer agreements in a virtual ceremony on Nov. 5. The contract paves the way for qualified students in FDTC’s Associate of Applied Science programs to pursue bachelor’s degrees at Gardner-Webb.

“These new transfer agreements are another important win for students and employers in our region,” emphasized Gardner-Webb President Dr. William M. Downs. “The pathways leading to GWU are increasing in number, and I thank the leaders at our respective institutions for expanding the opportunities available to students wishing to earn a four-year degree in business-related fields. We’re all very eager to welcome graduates from FDTC into our accounting, marketing, and management programs.”

Joining Downs at the signing were FDTC administration and faculty—President Dr. Jermaine Ford, Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Luegina Mounfield and Department Chair Pete Gioldasis.

I’m excited that our students can continue to expand their options through this great partnership.”

The agreement lists the FDTC programs and related courses that will be accepted for transfer credit, specifically:
