Home / People / Dr. Mirek Mystkowski Dr. Mirek Mystkowski Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science Dr. Mirek Mystkowski received his M.S. in Physics from University of Wroclaw in 1992. A year later he started graduate studies at the University of Missouri. He received Ph. D. in Mathematics in 1997 and M.S. in Computer Science in 1999. His research work focused on developing novel methods for landmine detection. Since 2002 he has been teaching Computer Science and Mathematics at Gardner-Webb University. Besides his academic work, he enjoys variety of activities including hiking, bird watching, and reading science fiction novels.
