category: Weather Updates Weather Update: Tropical Storm Ian By Gardner-Webb University On September 29, 2022 Monitoring Tropical Storm Ian University officials are monitoring Tropical Strom Ian and its projected path over the next 48 hours. The latest forecast has our main campus receiving wind gusts between 30-40 mph and rainfall totals between 3-5 inches from Friday morning into Saturday evening. Students in University Commons, please secure all items that may be on the porch of your apartment or suite. Be careful traveling Friday or Saturday and be aware that roadways will be slick and conditions may change quickly. Do not attempt to drive through standing water on, or across any roadway. The University will continue to monitor the storm and provide updates as necessary. If you have not downloaded the LiveSafe app, now is the time to do so.
