More Businesses Join Bulldog Community Discount Program to Strengthen Relationship Between Local Towns and Gardner-Webb

Students, Faculty and Staff Show ID for Savings at Local Businesses

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.—Four new businesses in Shelby, N.C., and one in Boiling Springs have joined the Bulldog Community Discount Program. This program strengthens the relationship of the University and the Cleveland County community by increasing awareness of local businesses and encouraging the campus community to support them.

“We are very excited to be able to offer this discount program to the faculty, staff and students of Gardner-Webb that will allow for us to promote the businesses in Boiling Springs and the area,” said Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students, Lesley Villarose. “We are looking forward to the continued growth of this program with our town and community partners.”

Faculty, staff and students show their Gardner-Webb ID at the following businesses to receive the discount.

The new businesses in the program include:

  • Miss Molly’s Boutique, 111 W. Graham St. Shelby, 10% off one item for students only; must show valid student ID at the time of purchase.
  • Mosquito Bandito, 5 E. Marion St. Unit 3, Shelby, 50% off first mosquito, flea, and tick service ($27.50) for any length contract.
  • Lee’s Transportation Services, 214 E. Sumter St. Shelby, 10% off rides.
  • Lafayette St. Grill & Pub, 209 S. Lafayette St. Shelby, 10% off food.
  • McDonald’s, 213 S. Main St., Boiling Springs, 25% off food.

  • Snack Shop, 103 S. Main St.
  • The Quik Snak, LLC, 131 N. Main St.

  • Magnolia Mill, 108 N. Main St.
