Home / People / Chief Tim Ledford Chief Tim Ledford Instructor of Criminal Justice and Homeland Security Tim is instructor of criminal justice and homeland security, bringing with him over 40 years of law enforcement experience. He is the retired Chief of Police for the Mint Hill Police Department, serving for over 10 years. Ledford is also a retired Captain of the North Carolina Army National Guard. He received his master’s degree in sociology from UNC-Greensboro and his Bachelor of Criminal Justice from GWU. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy at Quantico, Va., and a graduate of the Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Ga. Ledford has served Gardner-Webb for nearly 20 years as an adjunct instructor. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Patricia, and their son, Eddie Foxx, who is the morning DJ for KISS FM in Asheville, N.C.
